The body’s endocannabinoid system or “ECS” works naturally to keep the body in a balanced state of homeostasis. ECS® Gold Drops contain a combination of cannabinoids with a focus on higher levels of CBD and CBG.
Cannabis plants produce thousands of compounds however the most interesting belong to a class called cannabinoids. There are several cannabinoids but the two that are most well-known are THC (tetrohydrocannbidiol) and CBD (cannabidiol).THC is the primary psychoactive compound in cannabis and it is what people recognise as the compound that gives them a “high.”
Unlike THC, CBD does not cause psychoactive effects, and is therefore attractive to those who want to avoid getting high and understand the benefits of CBD.
CBG has been found to act on very specific set of physiological systems and problems. This lesser-known cannabinoid called cannabigerol has been used since 2015 across a broad spectrum of products we manufacture. While CBG is not present in large quantities in most hemp crops we have extracted and purified it so that it can be incorporated into our cannabinoid product brands.
CBG is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid; meaning just like CBD it doesn’t produce the high that is associated with THC. CBG is considered a minor cannabinoid. THC and CBD start out as CBG. CBG is the chemical parent of THC and CBD. A “stem cell” cannabinoid if you like.
Cannabis plants and hemp produce cannabigerolic acid (CBGA), the precursor to the three main cannabinoid and their varioants: tetrahydrocannabinolic acid – THCa cannabidiolic acid – CBDa, and cannabichromenic acid -CBCA
